Fred Stokeld came to Tax Analysts in 1993 and began writing for Tax Notes in 1994. His principal beats are tax-exempt organizations, charitable giving, and tax-exempt financing. He has also written about tax reform, small business tax issues, employee benefits, and Congress.

Fred also edits The Exempt Organization Tax Review, a monthly journal published by Tax Analysts.

Before coming to Tax Analysts Fred worked in a division of the White House press office and was a congressional press secretary. He has degrees in journalism and communications from American University.
