The Minnesota Department of Revenue advised county auditors and treasurers that their local governments may be eligible to receive federal funds through the state to cover COVID-19 costs; localities must submit a certification form by email to the DOR by September 15, 2020.

Greetings Minnesota county auditors and treasurers:

Counties, cities, and towns may be eligible to receive federal funds through the state to cover costs due to COVID‐19. To receive these funds, local governments must submit a certification form by email. Certifications will be accepted until September 15.

Payments will be distributed six to eight business days following each certification deadline. You will receive your payment based on when we receive your certification.

Certifications received by 5 p.m. on June 26 will receive their distribution payment on the first day payments are distributed.
