Oklahoma Tax Commission extends Oklahoma income tax filing date

Oklahomans now have until July 15, 2020 to file and pay their 2019 Oklahoma income tax return. In response to Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin's announcement on Friday that the Trump administration has decided to push the federal income tax filing date from April 15 to July 15, the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) is likewise extending the 2019 Oklahoma income tax return due date from April 15 to July 15, 2020.

Earlier this week, the Internal Revenue Service had announced it would delay only the payment deadline, but the filing deadline would remain April 15. In response, the OTC issued an Order granting a similar deferral of 2019 Oklahoma income tax payments and first quarter 2020 estimated tax payments. Due dates for other tax types, including sales and withholding remain the same.

To keep Oklahoma citizens informed in this rapidly changing environment, the OTC has established a dedicated page with current information regarding COVID-19 updates.
