Oregon Employment Department Issues Guidance on Unemployment Insurance

The Oregon Employment Department released a fact sheet announcing that employers will be notified in mid-November of their individual unemployment insurance payroll tax rates for 2021, and explaining that while Oregon is currently experiencing the highest unemployment rate in its history, only a modest increase to the payroll tax schedule is expected because the majority of benefits paid during the recession come from federally funded programs created by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.
