Michigan Appeals Court Upholds Constitutionality of Repeal of Multistate Tax Compact

In a published opinion issued September 30, the Michigan Court of Appeals has affirmed the Court of Claims and rejected arguments of taxpayers in 50 consolidated cases challenging the state's retroactive repeal of the Multistate Tax Compact -- and its three-factor apportionment formula -- to avoid paying $1.1 billion in refunds.
