GAO Makes Pandemic Response Recommendations to IRS

Treasury and the IRS should track and publicly report on people that received economic impact payments to improve outreach efforts, and the IRS should update form instructions to reflect electronic filing capability to help businesses, the Government Accountability Office said in a November 30 report on federal responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.
