Americans for Tax Reform Urges Massachusetts Lawmakers to Reject Cigarette Tax Increase

In a February 2 letter, Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform urged Massachusetts lawmakers to reject Gov. Deval Patrick's proposal to increase the tax on cigarettes and tobacco products, warning that similar tax hikes in other regions have resulted in a loss of tax revenue and the proposal would increase the cost of smoking alternatives.
