California BOE: Couple's Participation in Voluntary Compliance Initiative Bars Interest Refund Claim

The California State Board of Equalization has ruled that a married couple that elected to participate in the state voluntary compliance initiative was barred from filing a refund claim on interest on the tax paid in connection with abusive tax avoidance transactions.
