Illinois Extends All 2020 Sales Tax Exemption Numbers' Expiration Dates

In response to COVID-19, the Illinois Department of Revenue has updated a previous announcement and extended the expiration date to December 31, 2020, for all sales tax exemption numbers that expired or will expire in 2020; certificate holders are encouraged to submit renewal applications on their regular schedule, but at least before December 31.

Individuals and organizations may verify their new expiration date on the MyTax Illinois website; however, a new certificate will not be issued until the certificate is renewed.
