Call for Reflections: Tax Analysts Turns 50!

Posted on Feb. 28, 2020

2020 marks Tax Analysts' 50th anniversary!

In honor of our golden anniversary, Tax Notes is seeking submissions from our longtime supporters, contributors, and readers on Tax Analysts’ influence on your professional life. Some examples may include:

  • how Tax Analysts’ litigation or mission-based work affected your practice, academic research, or classroom instruction;

  • how Tax Notes' coverage shifted or enhanced your perspective on complex tax issues; or

  • how contributing to Tax Notes led to increased visibility, conversation, or esteem in your career.

Submissions may be up to 1,000 words in length and submitted as word documents to submissions@taxanalysts.org.  Articles will appear in a special anniversary edition of Tax Notes.

Tax Analysts was founded in 1970 by Thomas F. Field. After working at the U.S. Treasury in the tax lawmaking process, Field founded Tax Analysts to advocate for increased transparency in tax policy and administration. Tax Analysts quickly assumed a prominent role in the policy process through congressional testimonies and analyses of key policy issues.

For the last 50 years, Tax Analysts has worked tirelessly to uphold our mission through aggressive, unbiased reporting, and informed commentary from leaders in the field. As we look to the future, we are poised to further our mission by fueling the tax policy debate at home and abroad through our federal, state, and international publications.

We look forward to reading what our supporters have to say. From everyone at Tax Analysts, thank you for helping us to carry out our mission over the past 50 years. We look forward to the next 50!
