Illinois Auditor Finds Mismanagement of Funds, Noncompliance in Examination of Independent Tax Tribunal

The Illinois auditor general found several deficiencies in an audit examination of the state's Independent Tax Tribunal and recommended that the tribunal fill vacant positions, adopt formal business rules and procedures for using appropriated funds, maintain more accurate accounting records, and improve the management of cash receipts.
