[1] Washington, D.C. -- House Budget Committee Chairman John Kasich (R-OH) has named Wayne Struble as the Committee's new Staff Director. "Wayne brings to this position an incredibly thorough knowledge of the Federal Budget and of how the Committee works," said Kasich. "Few on the Committee staff have worked harder than Wayne as we put together and then passed the Balanced Budget Agreement."

[2] The 46 year old Struble has served on the Budget Committee since 1993 acting as the Director of Budget Priorities from 1995 until now and as the Committee's Senior Budget Analyst from 1993 to 1995.

[3] Before coming to the Budget Committee, Struble worked for Representative John Miller (R-WA) from 1991 through 1992 serving as Legislative Director and Budget Associate. From 1989 to 1990, he served as an aide to Representative Jack Buechner (R-MO). Prior to coming to Washington, D.C., Struble was an Engineer for McDonnell Douglas Corporation in St. Louis, Missouri.

[4] Struble has a B.A. and an M.S. in Engineering from the University of Notre Dame as well as an MBA from the University of Missouri at St. Louis.

[5] He replaces former Staff Director Richard E. May, who left the Committee to join the lobbying firm of James Davidson and Company in early August.
