[1] I enjoyed our discussion this morning of the proposed regulations (REG-116125-99) under sections 643 and 664 regarding charitable remainder trusts. I very much appreciate your willingness to take time out of your busy schedule to hear my concerns in this area.

[2] Enclosed are copies of my written and oral comments on the proposed rules, which I presented in conjunction with the IRS's February 9 hearing on the regulations. I will follow up with you regarding a time next week when I can discuss this matter in greater detail with you and your staff.
