Kansas Tax Reform Council Releases Second Interim Report
SUMMARY BY TAX ANALYSTS
The Kansas Governor’s Council on Tax Reform released its second interim report, addressing the council’s ongoing meetings with the legislature on the budget challenges presented by COVID-19, and recommending that tax policies enacted in 2021 should be “relatively modest” and provide relief to those most in need.
The council's first report was released in January 2020.
Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly (D) previously extended the duration of the council because of the ongoing pandemic.
