Pennsylvania DOR Publishes June-July 2020 Tax Newsletter

The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue published its tax newsletter for June and July, advising taxpayers that it has reopened its district offices to provide appointment-only tax assistance but is encouraging the use of its online resources; announcing that the department will continue providing COVID-19 relief, including implementing programs that help bring taxpayers into compliance, and extending audit penalty abatement and 90-day interest relief through the end of the calendar year; reminding businesses that the accelerated sales tax prepayment requirement resumed July 20; and providing operating guidelines for the department's Board of Appeals during the pandemic.
