Pryce: Fairness in Tax and Trade Policy is Fairness to American
Workers
[1] Washington, DC -- House Republican Conference Chairman Deborah Pryce (R-OH) made the following statement today regarding House passage of the American Jobs Creation Act:
[2] "Today, the House took the first step forward in avoiding a costly and needless trade war by passing this plan. Fairness in tax and trade policy is fairness to American workers, and today's vote will keep them competitive.
[3] "Republicans committed to growing this economy and putting Americans back to work when we passed the jobs and growth plans of 2001 and 2003. We reinforced our commitment to keep Americans working when we voted today to pass this pro-growth, pro-career creation policy.
[4] "In order to compete in an international economy, American products must not only fit the budgets of Americans, but of people worldwide as well. By reducing double taxation and lowering unfair trade barriers, American businesses are encouraged to expand by hiring at home and manufacturing on American soil."
