Connecticut Revenue Services Urges Taxpayers to Avoid Walk-In Services

SUMMARY BY TAX ANALYSTS

The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services, in an effort to protect the public and department employees from COVID-19, urged taxpayers needing help with filing tax returns, making tax payments, or other state tax matters to contact the department by phone, email, or mail instead of visiting one of its walk-in locations.

NOTICE TO DRS CUSTOMERS: DRS Walk‐In Services

Consistent with Connecticut's response to the COVID-19 outbreak and social distancing practices, DRS is taking steps to protect the public and DRS employees from potential exposure to illness.

Please contact DRS by phone, e‐mail, or written correspondence for assistance with filing Connecticut tax returns, making tax payments, registering a new business, and other state tax matters. We request taxpayers avoid face-to -face services at our walk-in locations in Hartford, Bridgeport, Waterbury, and Norwich, unless absolutely necessary.

Regular DRS Business Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
