Massachusetts DOR: Tax Assistance Kiosks Closed Due to COVID-19

SUMMARY BY TAX ANALYSTS

The Massachusetts Department of Revenue announced that it has temporarily closed its walk-up counters and computer kiosks for tax assistance in response to COVID-19, and directed taxpayers to its website to check on refunds, view information on various tax types, submit documentation, and make payments.

The DOR's walk-up counters for assistance with child support are also temporarily shut down.

DOR Walk-up Counters and Kiosks for Tax Assistance and Child Support TEMPORARILY CLOSED

The Massachusetts Department of Revenue's walk-up counters for tax and child support assistance are temporarily shut down in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus. The Governor has made it clear that the health and safety of the Commonwealth's residents are top priorities during this challenging time. Information is plentiful and we will communicate those resources through our communication channels.

Tax Assistance Counter & Computer Kiosks: While the counters and kiosks are closed, information is available through mass.gov/dor, including how to check on your refund and information pages by tax type. MassTaxConnect is available for registration, submitting documentation and making payments. In addition, there are informational FAQs and videos. Child Support Assistance Counters: The Massachusetts Department of Revenue's walk-up counters for child support are temporarily shut down. There is information available for parents looking to pay child support online. It is recommended that inquiries to Child Support Enforcement be done by email.
