For purposes of section 1916(b) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, and Executive Order 11285 dated June 10, 1966, C.B. 1966-2, 480, Sardinia is not a less developed country. Although geographically separate from the mainland of Italy, Sardinia is an integral part of the Italian Republic.
